I know what you mean about posting your weight. It makes it seem so final. I don't even tell my husband my exact weight nor will I let him see the scale while I am weighing myself. Hopefully by sharing our weightloss journeys in the cyber world we will help motivate ourselves to do something for us. I know that almost all of my excuses revolve around my children, husband and house and while family is so important to spend time with and on, it will be so much more beneficial to our children and husbands when we feel fit, energized and beautiful. Keep on the water and walking!

I should think about joining an online weight loss group like this, too. That's great that you were able to admit your weight and post it on the Internet. Losing 40 pounds is very doable. You can definitely do it. I've lost 10 since January and still have about 50 more to go. I'm not brave enough to admit my starting weight like you are. I won't even put my picture on my blog, until I'm lookin good.

Coming from the testosterone section...

I know that the scale is always going to be how everyone is judged, but just try to live a healthier lifestyle and do your best not to count pounds and dress sizes.

The scale will almost always let you down.

i'd post my weight on the internet, but i don' think it would be inspirational. actually, maybe it would!
i'm an inch taller than you, and at my heaviest- NON-PREGGO!- i was *gulp* 210 pounds. a size 22. with zero diet changes but mass amounts of walking, i dropped to a size 6 and 135 pounds. you can do it!
